Lesson 10.3: The Aorist of Verbs in -ω -- Regular

There is no exact translation of the aorist tense of Greek verbs into English. It expresses the type of action of a verb—momentary or instantaneous—as opposed to when the action takes place. It is usually translated into a simple past: ἔλυσα → I loosed. Sometimes it is translated into the present.
