Lesson 3.1: Nouns of the First Declension -- βουλή

Learn the formation of the first declension using the noun βουλή (plan). Copy it out repeatedly until you can do so from memory. Say the word aloud as you write out each declension. You'll want to repeat this exercise for a few days.



Improper Diphthongs
In the dative case for the singular and the plural, the ending has an iota subscript: ῇ. The subscript does not change the pronunciation. Basically, it simply denotes that the word is in the dative case. Pharr explains the improper diphthong as follows:
